It is not a matter of "who I run". In the top ten, everyone has every toon. Most of them are maxed. I use whatever team I want to beat the team in front of me. They only existed because they could win reliably against the Sith meta.
The more people switch away from Sith, the faster Rex disappears.
Where do you see it heading then? There has been a slow-migration toward zNihlus lead with Sith Trooper, and zSavage, instead of Zaul in the past two weeks. What teams are there to counter the zNihlus teams?
The triple cleanse teams aren't leaving anytime soon.
Boba lead, and Zader beats on zNihilus teams... Even GK lead can if you pop in sthan for extra TM gain that Rex won't give you
Also, Rex does give TM boost with his second ability and surely you can't be serious about bringing STHan into arena.
sthan g11 220 speed can still keep up against znihilus lead teams. And Rex does if he's able to get that off before Nihilus ability cool down which he can't when Nihilus is 249 speed. I'm ftp and have no issue with rex or zaul teams but zaul teams are by far way worse...
But it you are facing a Nihlus at 249 speed and your Sthan is 220 speed, then the opposing Nihlus would still go first. You are facing the same dilemma. The issue with STHan is that once his taunt gets dispelled, he is dead weight.
The smarter zaul teams would dump a ton of speed on SA that way you could accurately time the turn order of your sith characters at the beginning of the match. Have Maul go next to apply daze and then Nihlus with the guaranteed cool down on all the dazed characters.
Despite that, a non-zeta Rex team, with no synergized characters, and even with bad mods could still easily handle the aforementioned team.
