Ships are awesome! I finish battles in less than 2 minutes...by targetlocking everyone then using fives to blast all of them outta the sky... it is one thing that never gets old... fives nuclear umbaran missle pods.
I use mace lead and I top my arena pretty often. he counters tarkin very well when timed correctly. granted, mace has poor AI but u really just need him to start off with fortune favors the bold anyway.

I never see anyone use cassians U-wing either, his ship does pretty much everything. Very good to bring in when you don't get the targetlocks you need.
there's a guy that uses bistan in my arena and he's usually top 5. no one else uses it probably because (1) bistan isn't who you'd want to gear up and (2) SRP takes awhile to farm.
