Do you think a 5* chimaera will be better than a 7* executrix?

Yes Chi was overrated by some that thought it would totally break arena in a similar way that CLS has, but it's still a very good Cap Ship. I also disagree with the Endurance comment - at least on offense Endurance with well-built ships seems to do fine vs. Chimera.

I think their are alot of people who used a lot of crystals trying to now justify their purchases. So far as an Endurance user, the Chimeras aren't putting up much of a fight on defense. Maybe their AI needs a tweaking? The way it is now though, they are not on the same level as the Executrix on defense.

From what I've heard and seen its great on offense, allowing you to climb much more easily. However; its just as bad on defense.

I spent a lot of crystals on chimaera but I'm still saying executrix is better.

Confirms sorta what I am seeing... Chimaera does seem slightly better, in that the bad RNG seems to happen a bit more against him.

Pretty sure this is due to the CC/CD bonus with Empire ships, CC luck and AI targeting more than anything.

Similar would happen when tarkin vs tarkin for me, miss a few TL and the match could be lost.

At the end of the day Tarkin still has the countdown to doom which results in a win 90+% if you can last that long.

He who's TFP dodges more... Wins.

Which the AI can't be manipulated more vs. the Human - human don't target TFP except with DV. Also, put TFP as out of stealth with Scimitar. AI won't do that typically either unless all other ships are badly damaged.

You can also target ressurecting ships with TFP's special which will be an auto-avoid due to foresight.

Would not sign that 100%. On my shard some guys figured that Endurance is apparently a good counter to Chimaera.

I haven't seen it on defence but chimaera on auto against endurance is simply a 1 minute auto and only Biggs dies (if anyone).

I run a full republic fleet with endurance as the command ship and I have to tell you, the only capital ship that actually causes me problems is home one with all the bonus protection it gives out. Executrix's damage doesn't even phase me. Chimaera is just the same.

Best cap ship? Endurance. Next best? Home one, followed by executrix then chimaera.

It's kind of funny that these ships powers paint a picture that says exactly the opposite of the case (the ships with the most "power" are actually the weakest). lol

It's not the AI, it's just a slow ship that doesn't have as strong as an end-game move that can wipe you totally in one go. You need the focus fire of the fleet to really make it hum, but it's not the Cap Ship itself that is going to wipe you off the board. With Tarkin the pilots can take you out, but then you also have that doomsday clock in the background to manage as well.

I think the common issue here is just purely RNG with how ships work. Everyone can pretty much beat each other on offense no matter which capital ship your using.

I do indeed. have all the pub ships 7* (except for Endurance, but she'll be soon enough).
