Executrix vs Chimaera

My shard does not seem very active so I can't speak to how far Executrix falls vs. Chimaera, I'll take your word for it in your shard. I definitely target Chimaeras because I'm guaranteed to be faster, I have the Tarkin zeta so it's a coin flip against other zeta'd Exectutrix.

You could always use Executrix against Chimaera teams and switch your Chimaera back in for the last fight.

Chimaera is much better for offense. You won't see vader, fotp or tfp ships hitting for 90k plus under a tarkin lead that's for sure!!

Maxed Chimaera unique is gold.

I love my 7* Chimaera - a maxed ultimate can single handedly win a lot of battles.

But Executrix is a great ship too and I have it mostly maxed as well. I have zThrawn at g12+3 but my Tarkin is only g11 so that's another reason I personally run Chimaera.

I run TFP, Vader and Biggs as my start with Boba, Wedge, FOTP on the bench currently - will sub silencer in when ready for wedge

this purely to get the ultimate off though - or you prefer the TM gains and ability block chance abilities as well?

Ability block/expose and TM gains, but also pure speed vs the other cap ship. 90% of my matches are done before either ultimate and I win 90% of my matches.

Here's a trick for you. Open with TF special to get foresight. You lose a chance at TL but that's ok because you'll get it with Vader. Then your cap ship goes first, you use AOE. Doesn't matter if enemy TIE dodges because their cap ship would be going next anyway. Their cap ship uses AOE, your TF dodges. If your Executrix is fast enough, it will take another turn immediately, so you now have four ships out. I use Phantom, which can usually finish off the other Biggs with its special plus bonuses, so now it's 4 vs 2. And on my next Executrix turn I reinforce again, so it's 5 on 3, or 5 on 2, or even 5 on 1.

It doesn't work every time. But most of the time it does.

I would do this if my Executrix was fastest - but most that I go against have Tarkin zeta so are slightly faster
Can generally still win as my starfighters are dominant but I struggle more on my shard against top chimaera teams
I still typically get no.1 spot 8/10 times and if I don't it's cus I fall too far - which is why I may switch to Chimaera as general consensus is that it's better on defence

I have run across Chimaeras now and I have to say I'm not overly impressed.

I use the Phoenix ships as well as Biggs up front with Boba and TIE as backup and I mince similar opposition rocking Chimaera barring shenanigans. The two Phoenix ships alone can lay on loads of debuffs which means MOAR fun.

Plus you have a near guaranteed TL with Phantom, maybe two. Then bring Boba in and that's possibly more. No Vader in my possession as Advanced has decided not to be in the store for a while.

My 4* Trixy with it's G9 Tarkin has been eating Chimaeras for breakfast. Ackbar gives me more hassle.

You'd be surprised how hard Empire under an Executrix lead can hit, I've had my Vader hit for 80-90k under the right circumstances, my Tie has nearly hit 100k on his special. The 20% offense bonus for each debuffed enemy is doubled for Empire ships, so that's usually 80-120% offense for Vader and TFP, occasionally getting to 160% if they reinforce before I kill someone, which leads to some insane damage numbers.
