Does platoon calculate the power of your deployed characters?

It makes no difference, in the end both players will deploy all.
When a toon is assigned to a platoon or used in combat it is automatically deployed to that territory. Whether it is done manually through “deploy” or automatically through platoon or battle, the tp is equal to the toons gp.

Example: my wedge is worth 16k gp

If I assign wedge to a slot in a platoon, “mod bot deployed 16k”

If I go through main deploy screen and select wedge and deploy, “mod bot deployed 16k”

Same thing for combat, although it announces the tp of my whole 5 man squad so it would be something like “mod bot deployed 75k.”

when you see all those micro deploys, as your guild goes through platoons and combats, it is just the gp of the toons being used counting towards deployment automatically.

Thanks for the response madbot. I hadn't notice the addition of the power of each characters assigned to the platoon (as it doesn't say on the info screen on the right, but you do see it pop up on the territories, which I,ve notice today).

Do you know if platoons that are unfilled still deploy and give points? Can't see confirmation of that. So if we don't fill a platoon (say 11/15). Will those troops still get deployed and will we get their deployment points?

Yes, when you individually deploy a toon to an unfilled platoon, it counts it. When platoon is filled you get bonus.

No, but if you're really tight on a star, then you don't want people to assign to unfillable platoons because you'll want that tp deployed to the territory that you'll need it on.
