So I consistently find that in all the PVP games within Star Wars Galaxy that power level means nothing. Absolutely nothing. Most of the time I have a 2-3000 power level advantage but my characters...

Personally, I don't get into arena battle with teams 2000-3000 more power than my team. Have you looked to see how they are modded? Modding is a very important aspect in succeeding in arena. Do you use mod? My team is sitting around 21,900 and their level is 63-64 and I do not venture above 22500 or so.
