Does SWGOH favor Android users over iOS?

I've been playing this game since mid December and was super excited to hear about the possibility of a New Years bonus. I have friends who play this on their androids and they all got New Years packs with a bunch of empire shards and now the droid event. I'd like to believe they are going to put something out just for Apple users but it sure is taking a long time to come around. Has anyone else noticed this? I can't be the only one.
