Droids Fight Back event important information:

Just started for me, it's fun, I like it, I'll edit more in after posting this because there's an important bit to point out that isn't immediately obvious:
IT WORKS LIKE CREDIT/TRAINING DROID HEISTS

In other words, you get two attempts per day and that's it. So do it at the highest level you can conceivably complete. I didn't see this listed in the event update info they posted in the announcements earlier. Luckily for me, I really wanted to try out the Bonus Tier first because I thought my droids were good enough. They weren't, so I tried the next tier and beat that. So then I noticed that I only had 1 more attempt for the day...

EDIT: So, okay, now the good news--The event is potentially very, very fun. I say potentially because I'm just at that cusp where T6 is trivial and Bonus Tier is impossible (Need at least one more gear level on each droid.). If I was a little stronger and could complete the Bonus Tier, it'd be great. Or a little weaker and T6 was more challenging. As is, I see a lot of potential fun in this thing.

The rewards could honestly be a little better... They're pretty light. But considering it doesn't cost any energy or take very long, it's alright. You can refresh the event for crystals, but honestly I don't think it's worth the price... I think maybe the next time the event comes around it'll be better--they're going to look at the lack of refreshes and see how they can entice people into spending more crystals. So it's a problem that'll fix itself.

So, all things considered--Good event, can easily be better. Thanks!

  • The rewards for the bonus tier were ok. Got a few shards of each jawa and about 300k credits. Not bad for a minute of work. After the initial win though it's not great.

And FYI, a top droid team should have no problem with the bonus tier, even without speed mods.

Bad review. Please don't review anything else, you're misleading uninformed readers. This event was probably the worst in history.

Hey. Hey, bud? Buddy? Hey, bud? Pal? Hey, Scoots, how's it going World War II happened so worst event in history is a dumb thing to say. So howsabout you give some actual feedback? Because "I hate it, it's bad, fix it" doesn't give the developers a whole lot to go on with their google docs and slack channels and ICQ conversations.

Unless the entire point of your post is just TO post. In which case, congrats on your self-indulgence.

Well my day has officially been made. Scoots, totally going to use that. Love the response Nic. Putz man come on, I hate the droid event too but we've gotta try to give constructive criticisms for the Devs to not see. Otherwise we're just savages banging on the city gates.

I believe putting this event as the worst ever ig is plenty constructive. Has there been a worse event?

No no, I fully agree this event is the worst one off the top of my head. However just saying its the worst doesn't help the Devs know why. I think only have two total tries, plus the fact total you could get about...what 5 or so shards for one or two jawas? That will hopefully help the Devs see why this event was a huge bust.

I think the 1k+ posts already stating that is plenty for them to go on. I'm adding to my name to the list of disappointed ppl to hopefully draw attention to the issue. If a thread gets loads of replies, I feel the devs are more likely to view it.

I agree with you. I'm just wanting to keep the comments as constructive as possible, so when the Devs come looking at these threads and posts, they see how we think the event could be better. I really like these kinds of events that focus on one group, I don't want to see them go away.

I feel like the Devs shouldn't have to wade through an ocean of threads/posts saying this event was awful and that's all. Like you said, the thousands of threads kinda point that out to them.

Actually I think the rewards aren't as good as what was rewarded for the two Jedi events a while ago, for Kit Fisto and Aayla, and those got scrapped and will probably never return...

See? These are examples of constructive criticism, Putz1337. Now compate and contrast this what you've postedand you'll see a significant difference.

The problem with this event is simply a lack of clarity before the event.

The lack of clarity contributes, but the event is poorly designed and structured as well.

Very neat idea, but the event is just all sorts of messed up.
  • I beat the Bonus Tier within ~ a minute, twice. There wasn't much fun to it, and the rewards were petty, even for those farming Jawas still. Some of you may remember my recent post here:

I'd prefer more of a yoda or palp style event, even if it means less credits for more jawa shards.

Those types of events are extremely rare. Droids Fight Back is meant to supplement people's Jawa farming, not replace it entirely. In fact, MOST events are that way. Yoda and Palpatine are the exceptions.

Palpatine is extremely rare fair enough but yoda comes around monthly so does that make it only a rare event and thats why you get him to 7 star.

For this to be a none rare event it would have to come around more often and if yoda comes around more often then this how can yoda be a rarer event.

There are plenty of Rebels and Jedi to choose from so they are quite easy to get for the events Droids on the other hand are a bit harder, so people had to put a lot of effort to get ready for this event. The rewards are no where near what they should be.

If this event was every weekend then even then it would not replace Jawa farming and would still only be supplemental to Jawa farming as you still would only get 1 random shard each attempt so say a total of 4 from 4 attempts each weekend. I could get more than that for each Jawa everyday farming the usual way.

I don't believe that 2 jawa shards "supplement" anyone's Jawa farming with all due respect. Furthermore isn't the Droids Fight Back also rare? It doesn't appear very often. Was the one shard per attempt thing a bug? Because it honestly doesn't make any sense at all in my opinion.

This. I got 1 Jawa shard and 1 JE shard. That doesn't supplement anything. I could get 5x that in 1 day with normal energy / guild currency.

This was a seriously wasted opportunity.
