DS TB Phase 4 platoons [MERGE]

My ds-focused guildmates didn't believe me when I said ds tb this soon was a giant slap in the face. They insisted they could carry us with multiple zylo, zaul, and zader teams in the guild. Oh how wrong they were. So many slaps in the face here. They did state that they'll assess things after it's done and give some freebies as they see fit, as well as make it easier next time, which is about the same as an apologetic wife-beater. Forget the bruise, he bought me flowers, so he must love me.

We had this problem early in LS TB and we were told unfarmable toons and required mission toons would NOT be in the platoons.. this is just another example of the developers taking advantage of the player base... they know that the whale guilds WILL spend the money on the packs to get the characters required. Then next time DS TB comes around we will get the “OOPS we fixed it, arent we great and dont you like how we listen.. “

I appreciate some mods showing up here to respond, and if there job is to provide that information they are doing a great job. However the information that the mods are being given to provide to us is insulting.

There are aspects of this game that are just as broken as the issues with Battlefront II and as a player base we need to figure out how to engage Disney to get involved just as they did in that case..

Its a shame that an amazing game is being ruined by greed. There is sooo much more $$ to be made by keeping players happy

EDIT: Required toons should not be required in Platoons and these instances should be reported to <> as an issue.

Don't appolagise. Its End game content, I for one am super cool with this.

This same system has been applied to the LS TB, we will see similar required toons next time around.

Platoons is more icing on the cake. I could list many biases here:

1. Difficulty generally
2. Smaller character pool with same # plattons
3. Key units being much less powerful (BH are terrible, DV / Veers can't hold a candle to CLS)
4. LS TBs were not introduced with this platoon problem at initial launch ... so even the platoons is a bias because you got a softer launch and ramp up on LS TB to prepare more evenly over time
5. DK / Shore are still premium priced in shipments and critical units in these TBs
6. Required unit Chan was actively farmable in Cantina where Starck is a random and rare drop in guild shipments OR you can pay $$$ to get him

They extract $ on DS units and hand-out elite LS characters. Bias is blatant.

There were many posts about the change when it happened. This change happened before the launch of DS TB. It didn't change then....

While this was announced and we expected it, the extent to which they dominate the platoons is out of line.

I’m afraid I’ve reached the point where I agree with those who say this TB just needs to be terminated now. I think it really will start driving players to quit if this continues to the end. I’m seriously thinking that I’ve had enough of the game now. Probably I will get my Rey and call it a day then, but this will be the experience that made up my mind.

So please, EA, just end this miserable experience now and give everyone the rewards - they have all more than earned them - and test your stuff before you release it in future. I’m certain you can afford to hire testers. I’m concerned too about the changes we will find when we open the next LS TB.

It’s enough now. Seriously.

It's not surprising, really. How do you shut off mega-transactions in BF2 and yet assure investors that it will have no effect on quarterly estimates? You shift the burden to the other Star Wars game that is known for its community of whales and krakens that will spend no matter what.
