For these 2 "new" assault battles is there a place we can see the odds of each possible drop somewhere? Specifically: Is it supposed to be 50/50 odds for getting 5 Gyrda Keypads vs 5 droid brains? ...

If its not stated as its 50/50 as like other things its RNG. What you need to understand is that as with any RNG "coinflip" is that the probability is limited to each try so the outcome of previous results does not influence the outcome of a new flip.
The issue here is you assuming 50/50 means over all your tries when in reality 50/50 doe not mean you will get an equal number of each over a number of events. Its very basic probability theory. You can collect as much data for your dataset but the only dataset that matter is the single one and any variance from 50/50 across your dataset proves it is indeed random.
I understand probability very well, thank you for the very basic 101 though, brings me back to 1st semester. I already stated the dataset isn't large enough, thus employing the forum to increase my dataset size at a much faster pace than getting it myself. If 90/100 were one option, and 10/100 were another, (.8 percent probability) then probability of it actually being 50/50 is very low. That turned out not to be the case.

The key bit is "the outcome of previous results does not influence the outcome of a new flip". So no you don't understand it as this key point is not considered at all by you.

You seem to be suggesting that even with a large data set it’s impossible to determine if the odds of something is 50/50 or not because every RNG event is not influenced by previous RNG events.
You are correct that previous events do not influence the next event, but you are quite wrong to suggest that there’s no way to determine, within a confidence interval, the probability of an event when you have enough data to reach a conclusion.For instance, some time ago I tracked the drops on 1000 sims of Speed mod challenges and 1000 sims of Offence mod challenges. I observed that the drop rate of Gold mods was 2%. You can’t tell me that I have no foundation to make that conclusion. The OP is looking for data to help make a conclusion. With enough data, we can determine whether or not the droid brain / gyrda keypad is 50/50 or not.
