100% this! I also already spent $20 on the episode pass, and I think it is very messed up that I am either now obligated to spend more money on Era characters, or I am not able to progress as far as I would like to on the episode path. I am trying to keep and open mind, but I have really nothing positive to say about this update at this point.
Id advise you wait on Conquest Pass as well if you haven't already, ive seen videos of PVE content ruined by relic delta and im fully expecting my r5 feat characters getting trashed by R8s.
Its just another attempt at a cash wall to halt out progress, and they're trying to link it into everything to make it appeal able
CG - IF YOU MAKE THE GAME BORING AND UNREWARDING, PEOPLE WONT WANT TO SPEND MONEY ON YOUR GAME. They will just leave and find something else to spend their time on.
