Executor

Hello,

I struggled like an idiot for almost 3 months and I was so happy when I was able to unlock it. When I got to tier IV I've seen that I can't do it because I need: new sneakers, new shirt, a brand new watch plus a new pair of socks, change my house and why not the planet, kill Putin free Ukraine and the bloody 7 stars Finalizer witch I don't have. Sorry guys but this is a trickery/deception but maybe I needed to read also this wonderful forum where new info is with 2-3 after AhnaldT101 or other folks like him. Star Wars it's a great thing but that is all the good things that I can say. Even a dodgy casino is more fair than this greedy/after $$$ and that is all this game. It should be nice playing the game but is absolutely frustrating when you don't have all the pieces from beginning - and not hidden. shame...big shame.

  • Requirements for each individual tier have been visible and publicly available since before Executor's initial release. If you didn't look or pay attention, that's on you

You can always buy your way to unlock, 10 shards @1250 crystals

Imagine being interested on a single event and not even try to see what Are on The next tiers.
Now We can apply your same logic and obviously complain about, because we need to get characters at 7 stars to be able to unlock as example Darth revan or Beskar Mando, but on tier 1 are just required at few stars.

I'll preface this with saying that I'm not even sure 7* Finalizer is a requirement, as others have said it isn't and I haven't done the event myself, but let's just assume it is a requirement for argument's sake.

The difference between this and Darth Revan's event is that it says nowhere in the Executor Journey Guide that you need Finalizer at 7*, in fact stating that you can use ANY capital ship. And saying you should have done research into the requirements is a very strange argument since one of the main parts of the Journey Guide is that it tells new and/or not-so-active-on-the-forums players exactly what is needed for that unit's ship.

Forums aren't supposed to be a necessity, all the information should in theory be found somewhere in game, which (I think) in this case is not.

    1. The Finalizer is NOT required.
    2. The information is WITHIN the game.

There ARE some differences between the requirements page and the actual requirements to unlock - Requirements page lists multiple ships at the stars needed to do the FIRST part of the event, but not the last part. You don't natively unlock Executor until you do the last part of the event.

However, those differences are, I believe, specifically Tie Bomber and Razor Crest.

Capital ship requirements are simply "any at 7*" and aren't even used - You're given a loaner Executor for the entire event.

Finalizer isn't and has never been a requirement.

Now, while I understand the frustration, I'm just going to say this.
I don't believe there has ever been a non-GL event that didn't need every character/ship at 7 stars or higher to complete. Yes, you can unlock some, like the early legendaries such as palp, at less than 7 stars with less than 7 star characters. But you eventually need everything at 7 star to unlock the 7 star version of the character.

GLs are the only exception to this, and seeing as none of the ones that have ship requirements actually use the ships, it's an understandable exception.

Executor, despite it's power level, isn't a GL.
Thus... you need everything at 7*.

Just assume, always, that if it's not a GL event, you 100% need to get every listed character to 7*.

..and honestly, just assume you're going to need to look at 3rd party sites, like events or a wiki or w/e. While yes, it's nice to "have everything available in-game", it's by far easier to do things with guides, wikis, etc. regardless of the game you're playing, and considering you're playing a server-based game... you have no excuse to not be able to access said online resources. Save yourself the headache and just look stuff up. It makes you a better gamer.

    Well said ?
  • 99% odds are that OP didn't properly farm their TIE Bomber, since toons and ships are shown on separate tabs when you have an active project in the Journey Guide. It's the same mistake I made on one account back in like November (and I also made a similar one like a year ago with unlocking JKL where I completely forgot to account for Wedge's ship being a requirement). However, unlike OP I didn't whine about it and accepted that I only had myself to blame for not paying closer attention. Since all of that information IS indeed listed in the Journey Guide in-game. No, it's not just on the forums but that was also an option you could have used to verify you were on track at any point in the past 3 months - ideally at the outset of committing to this project (no need to "sleep on" the forums, just do a quick scan of the post for the specific thing you're working on). As an aside, I should mention the current situation with the Journey Guide is far superior than what we had to contend with for YEARS, where consulting the forums and/or outside sources was our ONLY option - say what you will about the devs but the Journey Guide is one of the changes they've gotten (mostly) right.

Let this experience be an object lesson for you: if you're taking on any big months-long project, to double- and triple- check that you know what ALL the requirements are! Especially for unlocks that require a mix of both toons and ships.
