Explain what "enough time to farm for Thrawn" means please

I am f2p and get top five in arena everyday. I am 20 shards short of 5 star kanaan today. I don't have enough time by the 15th when Thrawn comes for anything close to 6 star. So how is this enough...

An unintended consequence of getting Phoenix ready for the Thrawn even has been how they are actually kind of fun to use ... Not saying they're anywhere close to OP in arena but they are actually kind of fun to play. I like all the assists etc.
