Honestly, I think CG is executing their exit strategy with this game... was it intentional? Doubtful... but it's likely gonna happen either way.
They've become so $$ focused with each addition of content, they forgot they need a happy player-base that spends money (Which I recently stopped doing all together because of terrible decisions like this, the STR raid, ship updates that I don't personally care about but other paying customers do & the last gasoline thrown on the dumpster fire... mod updates).
