Probably because their normal arena was relatively stronger than their fleet arena.

Yes, some FTP or close will have both strong but for a lot it is a choice or at least a prioritization and they have picked what now looks like the "wrong" one and chose a new GL over exec. Now you can argue whether two or three GLs and no exec is better for GAC than one GL plus exec (they can each maybe block different zones or easier wins in zones) but for arena crystals the latter is now definitely better.

There is now also the fairer minded point that fleets (or in reality - executor) now get to effectively double dip helping win crystals in two places.

So you are basically saying people are crying because they lack squad depth and neglected their ships or just haven’t played long enough to fully develop their rosters and want all for nothing as usual

Well CG already rewarded them with removing crystals from SA so the natural progression would be to ask for CG to help them out and do it to FA as well.

Not about boldnes but if you made people do gac for crystals nowadays as a must so the game mode will get more engagement, you could do the same for TW imo. I love TW and GAC and both being the let's say endagame pvp modes, it would only be fair to have crystals on both of them.

In this case people wont slack on tw and will actually put the work as much as they do on GAC.

It's a bad idea and you should feel bad. The new MM system is actually worse than the last one. For something that should be so easy to do, they really can't seem to figure it out.

Willfully ignoring how bad TW matchmaking currently is while suggesting crystals being added as additional rewards suggests only one thing; that being how naive you are in thinking that adding additional rewards would push higher TW participation.

Even with R9 materials being added to TW a lot of guilds couldn’t give less of a s*** thanks to how garbage the matchmaking is.

The leak post did mention a new "daily tournament type of activity" game mode. Might be where FA crystals go.
