Wait another month to 7* Ackbar's ship. Since Thrawn's ship is being described as a legendary and rare event, it will probably be at least 4 months until it returns. So you'd have to wait that long to 7* it. The Thrawn ship unlocks at 5* so you can 5* or 6* his ship without a 7* Ackbar ship.
