FO SF Tie Fighter Wai?

Can’t figure out if this is a bug or if it was intentional. When SF TF uses its second special ability, “double offensive,” DOTs are applied to all ships (including allies). The description does say “all ships” but is it really intended to apply DOTs to friendlies. If that’s the case, that ability can hurt more than it can help (ex. boosts opposing Vader or Wedge)...doesn’t make much sense

  • By using double offensive while Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle is in play, every time a FO ally takes a turn, they will take damage and so will reduce cooldowns and increase TM on KRCS due to KRCS unique ability.

KRCS will then reduce cooldowns and give TM due to Surprise Raid, thus allowing for the process to repeat.
  • @swgohfan29 very interesting...hadn’t thought of that and it makes that ability much more useful in the right situation. Out of curiosity, since I’m sure you run FO ships, what’s been your ideal lineup with FO ships?
  • @Grrrr

Start with FOSF, TIE Silencer and First Order TIE Fighter. Yes, you have no tanks. You want either Chimera or Executrix. Reinforcements are Phantom, KRCS, Biggs and Poe/Vader.

    Roles

FOSF: Double Offensive and Assist with Tie Silencer
Tie Silencer: Stun Lock Opposing Vaders, try and get advanatge and use special. I ve seen 200k hits with offense up.
Tie Fighter: Target Lock Enemies and Strafe them.

Phantom: Call if you're losing to try and turn it around.

    KRCS: Call for TM Manipulation

    Biggs: Call for Tank

Poe/Vader: Call to take out a TIE with forrsight. Annoying.

Obviously, you'll fall on defense like crazy but thats normal for FO Users

Sorry for the delayed response...been busy with the holidays. Love the strategy and would like to try it but my phantom would take awhile to gear up. Hopefully get to try it out in the future. Now that I know the SF Tie is useful ;) , I’ve been running a KRU, SF Tie, KCS starting lineup with Biggs as the first reinforcement. Slave 1 is usually the next out with Vader as the last (last spot usually not needed).

I had to switch to Home One as the capital ship but seems to be a change for the better
  • KRCS is fantastic as a first reinforcement. Much better than starting lineup, IMO.

Maybe so but it's a real pain to park while you wait. Have you seen the size of those wings!?! :o
  • @Vendi1983 was using it as first reinforcement but moved it to the starting lineup to deal with HT. If the opposing squad has a fast ship, it allows silencer to get a stun and KRCS a turn before HT so it can ability block.
  • Good call. Farming it like crazy to get the maxed reinforcement at 5*. Slow going
