- I wonder how many event characters MobileGamer has unlocked upon release without spending over the years.
- *double post*
- There has always been an element of hoarding giving advantages, but, it has gotten a lot more pronounced now. I agree fully with Mobilegamer cubsfafanhan, and McMole on their feelings about the state of the game. Now it feels like we can't spend our shop currencies cause we need to hoard them for something, when before it would only be crystals really. This is also the second time where we can only unlock at 5* and then grind the next 2 stars for a 'special' character using currency we are entirely limited by, meaning that we are controlled by how many stars we get in TB. 5* is also useless now at end game with relics, and gear 13. We did not have that when Malak was released.
- CG/EA really should stop hiding behind the data in telling them the state of the game. Just cause players are getting relics it does not mean that players like relics. Players are addicted to wanting to remain competitive. Just another example of how EA is out of touch with the community and seem to be saying the opposite of what the community is truly feeling.

They rather stay in touch with whale's money, they don't care about the community, that is a fact we all know."Nikoms565;c-1987389" wrote:

Thrawn was not difficult to unlock. The characters were accessible, they didn't need zetas, didn't require high gear. Heck, they didn't even need to be level 85, or have their abilities maxed to 7* him.
IIRC (and I might be wrong) the very first Thrawn event was shortly after all the Phoenix characters were released - and I thought (again, could be mistaken - it was awhile ago) at least two of them shared a farming source.
We had the shard shop at the time, hoarding helped immensely in getting those characters.- I agree completely that hoarding GET is rubbish and benefits the true whales out there... Definitely not 6k of them, probably near to <1k, those who have a 7 star GS already. Which means they are comfortable to annoy over 300k players just to satisfy the 0.1%... hey, why does that sound familiar, oh yes, it's called capitalism. We should have seen the hints in the name Capital Games. Just annoyed with the game right now and quitting the moment I get my refund.

Yes they were released and thrawn came shortly after. They were all very accessible.
This was around the first time that people were publicly saving tokens in larger amounts.
Stores were still getting toons.
Because of this - people starting hoarding those currencies even more.
JTR was rough because it was 2 16 cantina modes that were the problem. No tokens for that.
As for GET. People were hoarding once wampa and hy were 7* while we were doing Hoth.
Once malak was released , players that got him to 7* started saving get again.
I think there is a great conversation about the economy of the game. But it doesn’t have to be with pitchforks.
I even envision a credits 2 if they ever do a level cap increase again. This is unfounded by any source but hey it could happen because it has happened with other currencies.
Also I am a terrible hoarder- paid for thrawn and was my fav time in arena lol"Nikoms565;c-1987389" wrote:

If you had hoarded the store currencies at the time, then there were enough shipment refreshes, with three extra, to get the in-shop only characters to 7* by the end of the event without refreshing the stores. The two cantina farms were 8 energy nodes, so easily doable with three refreshes a day. They also put the characters in the shard shop, so you could get extra shards that way if necessary."CorpseMaker77;c-1987758" wrote:

That is the problem, and it is tiring feeling gaslighted. Game needs a balance in my opinion though, and it has been progressively losing that balance in the direction of being harder and harder for players that are not part of the 1%, and lately things are reaching that breaking point for a lot of the playerbase.
