Force Unleashed Toons
Why are they not in the game? I understand that it is controversial if they are canon or not, but that's not what this thread will be about. Since there is now a growing popularity in Empire AND Rebel...

HK-47 is in Old Republic which is a still supported game by EA/LA/BW. Whether they consider it canon I dont know as it takes place 3600 yrs before A New Hope. Pretty safe it wont step on any toes in current canon.
My understanding was Scarif was the first from Rogue One...am I mistaken on that?
Either way...Force Unleashed is no longer canon and far too close to the current stories I think for them to consider the characters...and really it wasnt that good anyways.
As someone said...far more other characters not in canon that would be more worthy of being added. Ie: Kyle Katarn
and yes the scariff pathfinder is a character from the new Rogue One movie so it is canon. You can like it or not but Rogue One is classified as canon eventho it's a spinoff movie.
Not yet. That movie has not been release and that character has not been in anything that could possibly be considered canon. Until that movie is released SRP is NOT canon. Y'all want to argue that purely because their are characters that are easier to get green lit is what takes priority when characters like Jedi Luke and General Kenobi, and even the two most iconic characters in the entire franchise R2 and C3P0 aren't in the game. It's actually a lot simpler that what y'all are thinking. They don't have an event planned yet to make money from. As soon as they feel like they aren't making enough money they will release a character from the extended franchise. Also Kyle Katarn isn't well enough know by any of the Disney SW fans so he will never be added.
I am not saying that is the only reasons behind a character being or not being in the game. I have no doubts they are gonna hold on on some more of the iconic characters in the game to make money, they would be crazy not to. I am also not using the argument about them being or not being canon as to why they can or can't be in the game because I don't think canon necessary matters as to it they can or can't be in the game.
Why they are not in the game as a playable character and if they can or can't be are two different discussions. You asked why they are not in the game yet.
I am providing my opinion as to why they are not in the game yet as a playable character, it is an opinion that I formed based on information available and it is just that an opinion and can be completely wrong. Every thread like this is going to get opinions from everyone that responds. I am sorry I brought up the word canon but I do believe it has relevance as to why they are not in the game yet, not why they can't be.
There are already many characters in the game that are not accessible to the player base as a playable character.
My guess is they probably have approval for many the Rogue One Characters already and are working on them for the movie release to "cash in" on the hype, similar to the release of characters for TFA release. These will probably be the next new characters released in the coming months. Again that is my opinion on who/what is coming next.
