IMO this is nothing more than damage control!
I agree with the above comment. It seems like a plea after people asking for refunds. If it was genuine they would also say they would not make changes on a Friday anymore going into a weekend.
How long have the devs made a change going into a weekend? There is always an excuse and while it might be a genuine response based on their history, I cannot accept it as genuine. (Remember all the promises they made about being more open and sure enough we get another promisie. Which I am sure will be forgotten about again in the future.)
