If you are not directly impacted by it why so much whining and complaining? I get the lower tiers need rework. That is a known issue. There will always be A gap between those who dedicate time and money and those who are more casual.

Think of it this way, how many here would still complain if they could get on a hstr guild on farm and post any value from 0 dmg and up? Get all the latest drops, g12-12+, traya etc. There are plenty of guilds out there with open spots farming this raid. They may take anyone without any specific requirement.

This directly impacts Arena and pilots in Fleet arena. So yes it impacts everyone.

I find it amazing the two positive feedback posts on this thread were created the same day in Jan 2017 and have never posted anything except to say how awesome the change is and belittle the player base.

@ChickenFett139 , how can you complain about a future impact when no information about gear stats, character gear slots, etc has been released? Is that not jumping the gun?

Regardless, yes it will affect how competitive the top of the arena will be, but mods have always dominated the toon arena for the longest time. I.e., a team comp may be usable depending on the quality of the users mods. In terms of fleet arena, I cannot comment since we don't have all the info released yet.

I just cannot understand why so there is so much whining when there is a very clear path on how to obtain the rewards CG has released. If the player does not want to play the game in that manner they can stay casual or become more P2P or play a different game.

Having lots of casual fun and staying competitive are generally on opposite sides of the spectrum. It is unrealistic to expect to be able to obtain both in these types of games in my opinion.

Well your opinion is garbage. F2P games with a PvP aspect cannot surive running in the manner that you described where player need to decide between paying to be competative vs playing for free while not competing. If 98% of the games population can't compete then there is no one to compete against whales, and they bugger off. You make it so f2p can't compete against whales in arena/ships, and then those whales spend less money, and it hurts the game.

And we KNOW at this point that one of the new gear pieces will give a speed boost. Speed in this game is broken. A gear 10 team with higher speed can easily beat a full gear 12 team with less speed. Now you want to make it easier to boost speed with a gear piece? Its going to ruin shards, especially shards that are less than a year old.
