The matchmaking in GA really needs improving if we are going to have closer and more interesting match-ups. Currently it’s usually the case that I can tell immediately whether or not I’m going to win or lose just by looking at rosters. Which isn’t fun. I’m not too fussed whether I win or not, but I’d like it to be a close fight.To show some evidence I’ve attached photos of my GA pool with the strongest roster and the weakest. The gap is MASSIVE.Edit: to make it clear neither roster is mine.

No one coulda predicted the GA was going to be released and no coulda predicted more = bad or wrong farm = bad. I went on a hunch that more = good with the territories but i caught the rope and realised i needed teams not random characters. Maybe stop referring to everyone as losers or arrogant just because they don’t happen to agree with you point of view?

I would disagree with you. If you look at the rosters in my original example it doesn’t really matter where you place teams or what you do. One roster is never going to beat the other.

The matchmaking seems fine. It does kinda suck that it brought to a head, the differences between a collector's and focused rosters, but the idea is right.
The problem I see, which has only benefitted me so far, is the non-players. It just seems like there's a large percentage of people joining and doing little to no participation.

I don't believe the aim is to have very close/even match-ups. Instead of having 8 strong players/rosters in one pool and 8 weak in another (all 16 of even GP) I believe it's more fair to mix them up.

That’s the point though. Why would you want to play a game where you know the outcome before starting?

It’s the reason people are reporting a lot of inactivity. Players join and then either don’t set a defence or don’t bother to attack because they know they have no chance of winning.

Nobody is having any fun in the above scenario and the root cause is poor match-ups.

Are you sure about that?
I for one like easy wins, so i think it's safe to assume there are quite a few likeminded players out there.
Lets also not forget that the way it's set up currently gives incentive to improve your roster, which is probably one of the reasons it's set-up this way.

Most of my tourneys have the same makeup of teams, 1/2/3 horrible rosters, 2/3/4/5 normal rosters, 1/2/3 potential winners. Seems to me that everyone has atleast one change to win, or at an evenly matched opponent. Isn't that good enough?

i personally wouldn't like that at all to be honest. What's the point of working on my roster for GA if i'll have the same change of winning regardless?
