I've been playing about 2 months and have spent a little, nothing crazy by any means. But today my Grand Arena opponent in carnonite 4 is 7+ million power and I'm a little over 1 million. I entered the battle just to see how bad it would be and the opponent used 2 turns and wiped my team. Is this a normal GA matching????? If so pretty sure I'm wasting my time with this game. I know I'll never be a huge player, but I would like to atleast enjoy it.

I’m also in Carbonite 4, and most of the time I have matches close to my 3.5M power, but I have also had people who are more than double my GP, and also some who hardly have 1M… I wouldn’t say it’s “normal”, but it happens often enough that it might just be intentional for whatever reason.
Your matching isn't because of the GP its basically they tanked their rating enough that they would end up down there. then they will climb out getting rewards of first place. Im 9 mil and sometimes fight people 12+ mil. it happens.
