GAC issues or new rules ?

This game isn't (currently) just about brute force. I, 6 mil GP, once beat an 11 mil GP opponent who was actively trying to crush me, because I played better than they did. You'll learn things like counters and right modding in time, and there are many guides as well.

SWGOH.GG has a section dedicated to countering certain teams in GAC, but it might not be useful for you as you're only facing single opponents. At this point, just make sure you choose carefully who you take in to fight.

Objection: relevance?

Robert_Baratheon​ higher GP does win a tie, but there’s another condition whereby players must score at least 10 banners to earn any rewards. Do you think you deserved to get the win when you did absolutely nothing during the attack phase? 

I need some clarification on what you thought wasn’t relevant here.

OP seemed to think higher GP should win. My point was that lower GP players could win if they played better than their opponent.

It's not relevant because no one attacked 

If you don't attack, you get zero rewards and lose.  So, in this match up, both players lost.  There are no winners here, just tears and sorrow! 😪

As others have pointed out, the score was 0-0. I’d like to know in what way the lower GP player “played better”? 

Higher GP should win a tie, other than in this scenario. 

I missed the 0 banners. Hence, I extrapolated that OP thought higher GP should always win. Incorrectly so, it seems.

I have an alt that's currently just over 300k GP. My highest gear character is G10 Crex, who is G10 because of a lightspeed token. My first round of GAC I was paired against someone with over 1mln GP and a bunch of relic units. I won because I sent in one toon to die for 10 points and the opponent did absolutely nothing. 

"I did nothing at all, but I still deserve to win!" What mindset to have.

You need 10 banners to register a score.....

The defender doesn’t have to attack, you have to attack, if you don’t put the least bit of effort, you do not deserve the win….easy
