You obviously don't realize these two statements are in direct contradiction with each other. If one player has a chance at 100% win rate, that means the other players facing them are often looking at guaranteed losses. A chance at 100% win rate means that the match making has failed and is not creating fair matches. A match maker using a rating based on win/loss and who they beat has a much greater potential for creating fair matches than the previous system. In a fair system you should expect losses.
So yes, you are stuck in the past. I certainly enjoyed my 82 match win streak, but even then it was unrealistic to expect to win every match.
