So I’m just here to ask if anyone else is experiencing the same issues I am facing in grand arena championship. I understand that we all will have to face players that are out of our league sometimes, that’s part of it. I’m currently questioning if matching making is having issues do to my current bracket. I am one of two players in division 4 while all the others are division 3 and range from 700k- 1 million GP higher. Logically a player with a full 1 million GP would have a clear advantage unless they fluffed their roster. Well there isn’t much fluff in seeing here lol. So just asking the community if what I’m seeing is an isolated experience or if others are seeing people with a tremendous GP advantage and being in a bracket with all players from a higher division. I also didn’t come in 1st place for my last two brackets. Went 2-1 both times if that helps understand why I’m a bit confused.

i'm more concerned that it doesn't appear to take into account W/L or GAC ranking...i'm in another group that shouldn't have any issues being beat by me...at what point thru a championship do you actually start facing opps with the same success as you?...granted i like the easy matches but kinda defeats the championship idea if everyone in my group has losses and i don't

4th gac running I don't stand a chance. I'm 4.1 mil, FTP, won 80℅ of matches when it was just ga. I've 1 g13, the next lowest has 7. All have g13 malak, all in division 1 while I'm in 2 and all, at the very least , have 600k more gp than me.

GAC is starting to look like a failed experiment, imho. Match-up algorithm has major weaknesses, there apparently is no "ladder" - type algorithm (it's just a series of disconnected GA rounds). Rewards are weak and feats feel pasted on and sometimes are completely disconnected from GAC anyway.A very sad missed opportunity for a fun game mode. Instead it's jyst kind of a "meh" waste of time.

I again want to restate my intentions of this post. I truly don’t care if I face someone who has 5 g13 players and I have 1. I don’t think that is as unbalanced as it may appear, the chances of someone having a a squad I truly can’t beat aren’t a concern. what my question is asking, are others experiencing large GP disparity and/or being the only member placed in a bracket of all players in a higher division. I’ve beat people much better than me and I’ve lost to people worse than me. It happens. I’m purely inquiring about how close your peers are to you in a given bracket. Mine seemed to have a larger gap than one would expect.

Very isolated to only you.

Can I ask what division or GP you are? If u don’t experience this then it could be based on the number of players available on a given division or GP bracket. Just trying to gather some information.

I have found this to be true. The effective "range" between the strongest and weakest roster in my GAC bracketa have been significantly wider than GA was.

I said this after Round One and the bootlickers were all over me. How win-loss or even points accrued is not the primary measure seems like a missed opportunity to make fairer matchups. It is WAY tougher to complain about matchups when you are facing people with the same win-loss or points accrued. I am sure the prize tiers are providing some filter, but considering there are people with losing records in Chromium, and people who are undefeates with only one round to go, that doesn't do much. Either way, it is more tedious with weaker rewards than the earlier one-offs. Hopefully those making decisions will make some community-friendly changes for the next GAC.

I'm in division 2 and have yet to face anyone from my same division gac is far to demoralizing to try or care now. A totally different way that i play is i literally only set one toon on defense...yep I conced defeat but always playing division one whales from division 2 absolutely stinks and I don't want to do it anymore at least I know I am screwing over there feats that way and with everything for offense I've been hitting mine. I know it's a b.s. play but after zero even matchups I've quit caring

I am in division 2 with a 3.8M GP. I'm on the low end going up against guys with 4.2M GP or greater. Guess what, I still haven't lost. Focus your roster or don't join. This is still an exhibition anyway, so expect issues. Learn what your opponent is doing and find viable counters. If you feel you are overmatched, use it to your advantage to test and try out various teams.

It's just a "luck of the draw" deal. My first opponent has 20 rows of G12 toons to my 12.5 rows. but since they match off the top 80, whatever else you have isn't looked at for matchmaking. it is what it is.

My current pool is about 50/50 with people at my GP and people with 1M+ GP above me. Thankfully, so far every instance in GAC where I've been up against people 1M above me they have had junk rosters with significantly less G12/13 than myself.

In my current match, the lowest GP is 2.4M (Myself), the highest is 3.4M, and the average is 2.7M. We are all currently in Chromium.
