I get at least five top tier teams per my GW. I have about 3/4 synergy teams. It happens. The more toons you lvl and gear and increase their power, the harder the nodes become. Power creep is compensated for by the code in GW. it's completely normal. Good luck.

I think it just changes all the time. I'm also lvl 85 and my GW this week has been a joke. The final nodes have been Chewie leads, etc. with no zetas.

It is definitely RNG dependent, but it also scales with you; the devs have told us this.

GW is a joke. It's designed to frustrate you until you throw buckets of money at EA to buy a roster of 7* characters. I'm lvl 85. My main squad is 7*, G10, around 300 in arena on a shard full of whales. I can't even get past node 6 sometimes. It doesn't "scale with you". It stays above you, forcing you to beat teams you shouldn't. I don't worry about anymore. I only do it because I have to as a daily.

It depends on your roster. GW is all about deep bench of toons and not one really good team. I sometimes have to throw an entire team at a node to get rid of a particularly troublesome toon.

Exactly. My arena team is good, but my backups are also good enough to get me through GW. My #2 is a sith team with a core of Maul (L), Vader, and Dooku, and it carried me through nodes 2-5, 7-8, and then 10 and part of 11 (with some other toons thrown in to complete the 5). Completed 1 and the rest of 11 with some throw together teams, and polished off 3, 9, and 12 with my Arena squad.

Grant it, I'm level 76, but I rarely have an issue. It takes depth. Simple as that. Sometimes 3 teams is necessary, or at least some plug and play toons to fill-in.

I'm the same level as you and I have to pause gearing the arena team every two weeks or so and spend three to four days building the B and C GW teams. I inevitably fall quite a bit in arena, but I can usually climb back. It does suck losing the crystals when I fall a tier, but I need those GW tokens for ships. At only 4 shards vs 5 for toons, ship collecting is a nightmare.

Out of curiosity, what's the Power difference between your first character and, let's say, your 15th? Gear difference?

Galactic War teams are based on a percentage of your five highest Power characters, whether you use them or not. In most cases that means your Arena team, since the intuitive thing to do is focus investment on those five characters. But this makes your GW harder, because node 12 is something like 20% more power than your highest characters. (I don't remember the exact amount, so don't fight me on that--but the idea is correct) So if by your final node you're down to two teams, you're going to be out-powered significantly.

The best thing you can do is invest in three or even four teams. This sounds onerous as hell, but I'm not saying each one has to have full mods, gear 11. I do the bulk of my GW with a team of Ackbar, Leia, Lando, Consular, and Chewbacca, all gear 8 (Leia and Lando are 9) and with basic mods (ie: they started white and don't have optimal primaries or secondaries--those go to the 1st and 2nd teams. When I get more I'll add them here eventually).

Use each team once in the first few nodes. Then use whatever team to do the bulk of the War--BUT NOT YOUR BEST TEAM. Only use your best teams on nodes 6, 9, 11, and 12. This preserves their protection, cooldowns, and turn meter advantages for when you really need it: the last two nodes.

Oh, and in the interest of anawering my own question: In my case, my 1st character (HK, g11) is 1001 Power ahead of my 15th (Lobot, g9), and only 800 ahead of my 10th (Lando, g9).

I'll be honest here... You need at least 2-3 more teams (g8-g9) to run through it and win everyday.

I assume you just reached lvl 85, which brings you to that wall. I can assure you, every active player reached that wall at some point.... Weeks and sometimes months without completing GW... But time and hard work will get you there. Farm droids and Sith... Have at least 3 taunters and 3 healers.
