No matter how slow, at least you can get crystals for free. Honestly though the exploits have been giving advantages to certain players while others miss out and haven't been given any compensation for it, that's my only problem. Besides that I do agree the progression seems a little too random, maybe if it were possible to turn lesser used gear into better gear's salvage like the shard shop, but for gear, it might be easier for everyone to get that progression, it would probably be a pain for the developers to assign a balanced gear value to every single piece of gear though
