Game Changer Program
Now that it’s official that SWGOH’s Game changer program has officially ended here are my thoughts about it: 1. This frees up game changers to make new content. It sounds like part of the agreeemen...

The GG release is the most recent example but its not the only one. (Which by the way the knee-**** reaction by the forums of oh my god he sucks by 99% of people was wrong anyway and he is pretty awesome).
The problem with the GG release was that it was footage provided by CG which was highly manipulated and misleading (fully modded GG vs non-modded JKR, cherry picked matches, Chewie's max HP bonus dmg not working) so a huge portion of the playerbase was upset when they realized that GG can't slice through all the other meta teams with ease as it was shown in the video.
This is also going to play a bigger role now for future releases: Never trust the gameplay footage provided by CG and look critically at it. The GC's would have given/shown you the results of their testing and told you that the win rate is only smth like 60% (so rather meh..) while CG is gonna cherry pick stuff and sell it to you as it#s the new super awesome 101% win rate meta thing.
Exactly this. And people were mad.
Poor ahnald spent money trying to make that yeam work... they got him good.
You're talking about the guy who decieved his audience to a certain extent on ea/cg's behalf, but continued to be in the gamechanger program?
Yea, i don't feel sorry for him whatsoever.
He was looking at the same footage we all were. It's what he was handed, and it showed GG as a slaughter machine. Anyone who watched that footage that CG made would think that GG was good.
Then after he spent his money upgrading the team he put out videos saying they don't work that well, and it's a REALLY expensive B team. I don't see the deception other than when CG handed out misleading footage.
That's the point. He was a willing mouthpiece ("decieved his audience to a certain extend on ea/cg's behalf") that, when he found out he was deceived and blindly passed that deception on, "continued to be in the gamechanger program". He could have left. The fact that he didn't simply shows that he felt it was beneficial to him to stay. Nothing wrong with that. But it does add context to how you see the relationship.
Being misled, sharing something you believe is true, and then being transparent about the truth once you realize it is one thing. Deceit is another. Deceit (the way I have always understood it) requires intent.
And CG deceived, but they didn't lie. They did what literally every company does (most people too) and put their best foot forward. They showed a perfect team with ideal mods under ideal circumstances. What are we supposed to say? How dare you show us what could possibly happen! Don't you dare try to cast the product you're trying to sell in a positive light! Cutting off someone for doing that means locking yourself in a closet, and never buying anything from anyone ever again. I don't like it, but that's the structure of the world. And I'm sure that they would have had words about it, but I think that was during the time that the program was nearly dead anyhow, and the devs were unreachable.
