Game Mode Observations
GAC
The GAC leader boards have been broken for like 3 years. The issue is most obvious on the Kyber 1 board, but it happens at multiple levels. As of 16:02 CDT 04/10/2026 the number 1 player in Kyber 1 has 6,442,343 GP and 0 GL’s, with a Skill Rating of 4,839. Players end up with Skill Ratings that launch them into positions they did not earn. This causes at least two issues. They receive daily and match crystal rewards they did not earn, and others receive reduced daily and match rewards since they were moved down in the rankings. Some players are extremely competitive and want the number 1 spot and they want the leader board to be accurate for bragging rights.
Add 3 more GAC leagues
New player league Available if player has under 1 million GP at signup. Does not resolve other matchmaking issues but will improve the new player experience with this game mode. Crystal payout can match Carbonite.

New High league – Division daily crystals V-280, IV-300, III-320, II-340, I-360 and match win crystals V-975, IV-1050, III-1125, II-1200, I-1275. Currently you put 11 teams and 3 fleets on defense in 5x5 and 15 teams and 3 fleets in 3x3. That could move up to 14 teams and 4 fleets in 5x5. The front zones would have 5 spots, 1 fleet and 4 teams. The back zones would have 4 spots, 1 fleet 3 teams. For 3X3 front zones 7 spots 1 fleet 6 teams back zones 5 spots 1 fleet 4 teams. One of the fleet spots could be no capital ship allowed match just ships 5v5. I also think putting a fleet in each zone encourages more interaction with fleets. Continue to expand the number of teams on defense as the roster size grows.
Champions League - Top 128 from last season. 16 * 8 = 128. Two from each group advance to next round. 1st place in group auto advance to next round, 2nd to advance from each group would be determined by adding all offense banners scored from each match minus all defense banners given up, e.g. you scored 2,042 banners and your opponent scored 2,028, +14 banners or -14 banners the other way. Sum that delta for each round and the highest sum for all three matches advances to next round. A bracket with 16 would run the normal 3-week GAC timeframe.
Change payout for a loss. Getting the same crystals if I put up 10 banners or a full clear sucks.
In Kyber 1 it is 900 for a win and 200 for a loss
Maybe something like 175 per zone + 200 for win still 900 for a full clear win but could be 700 for a full clear loss. Not clearing at least 1 team = 25 crystals to discourage just submitting one attack to qualify. Add a fog of war mechanic where you do not know your opponent’s score until the match is over. This rewards engagement, effort, & skill
Territory Wars
Change to a league/division system for matchmaking like used in GAC. This allows for the rewards structure to change rather than same rewards for 380+ Mil GP. It could reduce sandbagging in TW signup. Add crystal rewards like GAC with daily and win loss rewards based on division. Add Gyrda Keypads and some signal data to the rewards. Maybe instead of 5 Droid Brains for a win it could be 3 Droid Brains and 3 Gyrda Keypads and 1 and 1 for a loss. Those amounts could scale you reach higher leagues. Or you could expand the Active GP from 380+ million to 2 billion if a league/division system would not work.
Add replays for the most recent round of GAC or TW battles. They will only be available until the next match starts when they are replaced. I know TW is a sensitive subject for some, but the data should be available to show what compositions, Omicrons, & Datacrons are good for investment.
Fleet Arena
Remove crystals from Fleet arena and reallocate them between daily, GAC, & TW. Since I know many will not like that idea because they may be part of group that does win trading and they feel those crystals belong to them. I finish about 95% of the time in the top 20, 65% in the top 10, 20% in the top 5. I have 41K crystals saved up. For me it is not so much about crystals, but it is a game-mode where other players can effectively prevent you from participating. You cannot prevent me from participating in GAC, TW, TB, Raids but a group of 10 to 15 players working together can block up the top of the shard all day even though they cannot collect a payout more than once per day. I do alright even though I am not part of the group in my shard. It is an older shard my first achievements are from November 2015. If the crystals stay in fleet arena some changes would be nice. Disconnect arena payout time from energy collection times to allow more flexibility. To address the win trading fleet arena unlocks 3 hours before your payout, and this is the only time you can do any battles. After your payout it is locked for the remaining 21 hours, and you cannot defend your position. This would make it much more difficult for the groups that win trade to control an entire shard with 15 or so people locking up the top 10 just to be a-holes. Some of the shards are extremely calcified and have been like this for a decade. For those who believe this is not a problem then bring in the shard mix up like you have for colosseum every 12 weeks. If you have Executor, Profundity, or Leviathan you are one pool and if you do not you are in the other. Every 12 weeks you get assigned to a new shard based on your pool with the same number of players the shards have now.
It seems like somebody can start a battle against you before you have been able to leave the previous battle. Like the moment it shows victory you can be attacked but you must click 1 or 2 acknowledgment buttons before you are out of that match. Adding a 60 second cool down after you were just attacked prevents coordinated back-to-back attacks to prevent you from climbing. There was a good conversation on a post about fleet arena about 3 weeks ago. A couple of excerpts are below.
“I'm always near the top during my allotted rewards time. But I'm willing to sacrifice that to give other players at least something. I hate it and reluctantly participate in this mafia where top players take up their own time and prevent other players from climbing higher. “
“Is Fleet Arena a thorn in the side? I will concede at times it can be stressful, in that you may not have time to move up in the small window you are given. Also, when the meta is difficult (thankfully not for a long time) it can be a right thorn in the bum-bum, that's for sure. It also is unfair for a minority of players that are playing with absolute evil gits.”
I am not trying to quote anyone out of context and my apologies if I have. I have seen an idea about top position in last 24 hours. Along those lines maybe you get 5 attacks on offense, and you take 5 defenses and they are scored like GAC and those scores determine the payout.
