Yellow.Color was purple for many gear tiers and gold is only for g12 now so obviously g13 will be gold as well .It would not make sense to have yellow only for g12

Ah but the many gear tiers filled in the circle thingy. G12 kept the same circle thingy and changed color because there are no more circle thingy fill ins to fill in. Don't kill my dreams

I would say - read the Q&A again - they said you will be able to fill G12 items, but it will not be G13. so there will be 1 more item and NO UPGRADE to G13. so it stays yellow as G12 is yellow.
