General Krell (The Clone Wars TV series)

First off, I wanna say thanks for the free Bhodi and the potential future Thrawn! Thank you devs. Now this may seem untimely with the new update rolling out today, but I'm just finally watching all of the Clone Wars episodes and I find General Krell (Season 4 Episodes 7-10) amazing! Especially his lightsaber sound effects - they sound heavy/Unique - and his fighting skills. I really like his character and I could do an in depth move layout if this thread gets enough popularity for wanting him in the game. But before that, would he be a Separatist with anti-cone synergy or a Jedi (or even BOTH?) I know that there is a long list of highly desired characters that I would prefer over Krell (Aura Sing, Jango Fett, Hondo, Bossk, Embo, Ki-Adi-Mundi, R2D2/3-PO, Mother Talzin, Droideka, Jar Jar, Padme, Jedi Luke, Knights of Ren, etc. to name a few), but I think Krell is a worthy candidate.

Lemme know what you think forum...

I know krell went bad, but was he necessarily a seperatist?

Like Sleek_Viper said, he never formally became a Separatist/Sith but he would have been promoted to such if Dooku or Grievous took over Umbaran as Krell intended. Perhaps in the game he wouldn't have a Separatist tag, but rather have Separatist syngergy (like granting stealth) and anti-clone abilities somewhere as well as Jedi synergy would be cool.
  • I loved Krell as I remember it he was NOT a separatist ,he only disliked clones which gives him and Jedi more depth IMO. Would be a cool addition to the game

You're right! I just watched the episodes today. He was a Jedi Master (but NOT on the council). However, whether his path to the dark side was influenced by only wanting supremacy over the Troopers (and others), or the fact that he noticed a new power in the Republic was coming and that he wanted to be a part of that by betraying the Jedi, or both!? We will never know.
He strongly disliked Clone Troopers and saw that, in his own words, "a new power is rising in the Republic and I want to be a part of it." I also noticed that the camera specifically zoomed up on his eyes and they were bright Sith yellow in the end of season four episode seven (or eight). In other scenes, they were normal colored (dark). When he was in the prison cell he told Rex and company that when the Separatists come and take over the base then they would free Krell and promote him to a high rank in the Separatist faction. So perhaps he initially Feared the Clones, then became Angry with them, then later Hated them and this lead him to sense the dark side presence in the Republic (Sidious) but he obviously didn't know who or what it was, only that it was "rising" and getting stronger.

After all, it was Palpatine who sent Krell to replace Anakin and I think Palpatine did that knowing that Krell was evil and was going to kill many Clones, let alone Anakin's Clones, which would have not only added Krell as a pawn for the Separatists army, but furthered Anakin's Anger and eventual turn to the dark side himself. I mean, Anakin protected his loved ones with all of his might, mind and strength, but he was devastated when he failed them, like his mother. Imagine if Anakin found out his Troopers died under Krells behalf as he joined the Separatists. This would have made Anakin Hate the Jedi Order that much more. Maybe Krell wanting to join the Separatists made him curious to join the Dark. Sorry for the tangeant!

  • Revan first. Could be the best character in the game with Jedi and Sith synergy.
