I believe everyone should take a deep breath and count to ten, before getting upset by this.
Having to choose between buying gear, Malak shards and GAS shards is not much different than back when we had to choose between buying gear, HY or Wampa.
Having to choose between buying gear and shards for capital ships is not much different than back when we had to choose between buying gear, HY or Wampa.
Yes, we win less GET in geos TB than we would do in Hoth TB, but back when we farmed HY and Wampa, we also received far less GET, because we simply scored lower in TB than we would today in Hoth TB.
The situation is not much different. We just need to be patient, like we were back when farming HY and Wampa. We will eventually reach the point where we're done buying shards and can go back to buying gear only.
(Unless CG will keep releasing new characters for purchase with GET or GET mk II, of course)
