Getting old with the GP disparity - every level is having this problem besides Kyber 1

The Matchmaking was bunk but it is now too.

I used to see a lot of complaints from people who had basically permanently shot their accounts by either playing for a long time without understanding mods, basically guaranteeing that they were at a permanent mod disadvantage vs their GP, or people who just went absolutely ham on Relic upgrades (think entire DR team at R7, R7 Hyoda, etc) with no regard to whether the relics were actually worth the added GP. Those people generally ended up facing permanent GL disadvantages.

The new system gives those people fair matchups sometimes. For a 5M player with trash mods, a matchup vs a normal 3.5M GP player is probably fair. But the 3.5M GP player will complain. For a 7M player with no GLs because they've just been R7ing whatever they want, a matchup vs a 5M GP player with 1 GL might be fair. But they're both probably going to complain about it.

GP, GLs, mods and game knowledge (which is basically unmeasurable) all play a huge role in whether a matchup is fair. And people tend to complain whenever they're in a disadvantage in one of those categories, without even looking at the others, hence there are always complaints unless you get matched with an exact mirror account.
