Apologies for overuse of the SURPRISE sarcasm.
It's possible that the devs evasive comments are indicative that "evasion" is key in the new meta.
Okay, silliness aside, I am willing to wait and see what the "surprise" is. If it's a gear shop that would do two things:
1) Be an actual pleasant surprise - which would be a switch from the recent string of "bad" ones (i.e. the "improved" credit and training droid events, the "we fixed DoTs...oh, no wait" one, or the "new content! - GG, Shard Shop...oh, f2p, we forgot them..." one, or the Lando iOS mess,)
2) It would fix what most people are already complaining about in the new update.
