Google/EA/CG have officially stolen from me.

I think everyone needs to know about this because it looks like its brought my 5 years on this game to an immediate halt.

I purchased a 14.99$ pack and the store froze as I purchased it and crashed my game so I relog back into the game and click on restore purchases which has crashed my game again.
So I investigate the purchase to see a 30.99$ charge to my account (yes I only authorised for 14.99) which this has happened before but the difference in the last two times it happened is it purchased a pack that existed. This time it apparently purchased a pack from 2021 which I cant receive because it doesn't currently exist.

So my game is in a perpetual loop of them trying to finalize the transaction but can't simply because the item doesn't exist in the store. Which is crashing my game i cant even log in.

I have spoken to EA support and got the typical "its not our problem speak to Google" response (its been a few days now and even delivering the exact cause of this bug they still didn't understand what was wrong)

So now onto Google support who told me to clear my cache and restart the game... also struggling to realise the problem is on their end.
They did tell me I had to wait the 1-4 business days to hear about the refund on the purchase which i received today.

Which was denied. Apparently it was completely in their policy to charge my 2x what I authorised to spend and then not only give me nothing for it but completely make the game unplayable for me. When confronting support about the issue they simply put me in another perpetual loop "youll have to speak to the developers"
"Youll have to speak to Google support"

So now what? I guess my 10.5m semi whale account has come to an end over 30$.
And without my authorisation for the purchase this is theft.

    This thread was closed prematurely without him understanding. But I continued the chat VIA DM with the same guy.


    Looking at the thread, you are doing a terrible job of explaining the issue

    If you have an issue about being unable to log into the game, and if that is what you want resolved, make the AHQ conversation about that, not about your purchase issues

    Am i right to guess that you don't have to type in any psw when you buy anything from any game?

    If that is the case then i think, but i could be wrong, that you must have given them the authorisation.

    When i bought my Hyperdrive Bundle, i had to set up the payment using my CC.
    If I remember right, there was a section with "authenticate everytime using psw?" (Or something like this) and i put a "tick" on it.

    Sadly, i can't/don't want to go back to that page to take a screenshot as i don't want to ruin something in my payment setup.

    Also, you could try not to tick "remember me on this device"



    Either way, you must have empowered google with the authentication of your payment acc.

    Not related, but yes, i have had the same problem b4 with EA.
    They charged me twice for a plant in Plant VS Zombie 2.

    I bought it successfully, w/o any bug or anything, all seemed normal. But the funny thing was that i found that i had been charged twice for the same purchase, in the end of the month, by my bank. When i read my CC report, the bank was charged by EA twice at different hours.

    I didn't file a complain though, as i didn't think it was worth my effort.
    I considered it as a donation and that freed my heart.
    1 day of anger is 1 day of fun lost.

    Of course, you have a bigger problem since your acc is unplayable now,
    While i had not that problem.

    So, just want to share it...be careful with online purchase.
    And i hope that they solve your problem soon.

    Thanks for the share though. Its more common than people realise and easily goes unnoticed.
  • Try signing out of Google Play, then uninstalling the game, delete the cache. Then log back in and reinstall. Obviously make sure you know your password before signing out of Google Play as some people have issues signing back in.

    Yes, but it's unclear whether he has tried logging out of his Google Play account. I got locked out of the game once, and I was only able to login after logging out of Play. He could also clear his Google Play cache in system settings. It may be the reason he is suffering from an infinite loop if something hasn't loaded correctly.
