You can punch up quite handily with the current system, provided you’ve invested wisely with your own roster.

I agree you can punch up, but more often than not it's the result of the opponent you're punching up to not caring enough to punch back rather than your punch being too decisive.

Your gp matchups are also misleading fyi. You’re clearly hoping for a return to gp based matchups so not spending resources until you’re actually working on a character.

I can say this by the fact your raddus, drogan and other marquee characters aren’t unlocked and you still have 40-50 characters at level one.

This is fine of course. Your game play how you want but it does mean your account isn’t the typical 6.1 million account but probably closer to the average 7-8 million account. So your problems in gac have even less to do with gp disparity.

I flat out disagree with that. Sure I have some unactivated toons, but what about all the activated toons at low gear levels? They're not actively helping anything in GAC, and would be considered bloat. What about all the level 1 toons I have with nothing invested but still at 7 star? Why would I star them at all if I was concerned about keeping GP down?

My Rex is r7 but I’d imagine a g8 Rex with omicron would still be viable in gac and pump up you Rex and 5s. I could be wrong. I’m not going to go over your entire roster. I’m also assuming you’re hoarding a fair amount of omicrons that if applied to some of your toons at low gear levels would still be very beneficial

Rex with omnicron would be useful. I don't have any to give him, and my next one is going to Wampa. I'm hoarding no omincrons, believe I'm 11/20 with it planned to go to Wampa as previously stated. Is there a way for me to show that to you? I would gladly do so. You mentioned your focus on facts vs feelings, but it certainly appears you're making an awful lot of assumptions.

All I’m saying is your choices imo are probably more determinative than mm. I stand corrected on omicrons. 6 omicrons applied to gac is awfully low though as an fyi. It’s also why I assumed you were hoarding.

Accept my opinion or ignore it. I honestly doubt you’d do better in gac if you got your wish.

6 omnicrons is all I’ve gotten. Can’t invest more than I have without spending $. As stated previously, it’s not about doing “better,” it’s about enjoyment. I can enjoy a matchup even in a loss when there’s actual engagement on both sides. That was something I saw more of in the old system.

I get that pov. I do agree something needs to be done to address those that join but don’t engage. Bringing back gp based mm is not the answer though. Personally I’d prefer an opt out option that awarded more crystals than joining and doing nothing but less than going say 3-6 or 4-5. I’m firmly against gp being considered though.

That’s understandable. I’d be fine with simply increasing the participation requirements. Would result in more engaging matchups all around and would essentially fix my issue entirely.

I think it might to some limited degree - but increased participation requirements would for the most part result in the same people doing the bare minimum. The only difference would be the bare minimum being a little bit more than it is now.
