Guild Arena Power statistic accurate?
If you go into the "Manage" section of the Guild, you can sort your members by "Arena Power". When I look at my number, it says 26372. Last week it said 26300 and a few weeks before that it said 2500...

Update: It now says my "Arena Power" is 26,742 and I am certain that I have not sent a team greater than 20k into the arena in the last 5 days.
Here is what I suspect. I think the game remembers the best team that you ever sent into the Arena. Then, even if you swap out members of that team, it remembers that team and if you happen to improve those team members (even if you never send the improved team members into the Arena), your arena power will still go up.
