Guild changing??? Good or bad idea

Ok so been playing about 6 months. Level 79 so about to take the plunge for some larger power shortly.

I am in my tier 6 starter guild because I don’t want to ooose all of the progresss I have made on the STR. Currently I am #1 at just over 12,000,000 this is roughly 8-9 days into the raid. Here’s my question... I’m killing myself hre to maximize points and get that too 3 prize. But the person I n second place is below 2,000,000. So basically we are less then half way through the first faze of the raid. I’ve been getting prompts that I should find a guild and unlock guild events from the AI in the game. I don’t know what I should do. If I stay to try and keep my position 1 on this raid I may bee here for a year before it finishes. If I leave I am not sure if I loose all my work towards hat #1 prize.

Does anyone know if you get anything for all that work if you leave the guild? Or even just how you feel about it. Should I hang till. Is raid ends even if it takes 6 months at this rate? Or do I get the hellnout and find a real guild so I can actually complete raids even if I may not be in top 3. Ok I posted a lot of questions. Let’s see what all you guys think. Thanks in advance.

  • I think the devs really need to read this post. Here is a newer player that clearly wants to continue to grow in playing the game, but the combination that they've created of the Sith Raid and starter guilds is making it very hard. 8-9 days in and only half way through phase 1?!? That is insane. It is surely going to turn off more players than not. And if he sticks around for who knows how much longer to finish it, and gets 1st place, and then sees what he gets for his effort.....that's gonna chase new players away.
  • I don’t think the str is really appropriate for new or newer players, it’s fine to get a taste of it, but you need a better guild then the starter guilds,

He joined my guild and got to join us beat HAAT for the first time!

But I agree. The starter guild should not be running tier 5. That is not starting out on the right foot, I would be horribly discouraged.
  • If it's taking that long to get through p1 of t6, then they should only be running t4 at the most. It is better to get the lower rewards a few times a week than to wait forever being ticket limited.

Definitely find a new guild. If you haven't already, try the recruiting section. Most of the big guilds won't take you since you probably don't have the roster to do well in hstr or even in t5 of str but you can likely find a guild that will take you in that can at least get through t4 within a week. They will likely have haat and pit on farm and if you're lucky be doing way more stars in tb than your starter guild. Those rewards more than make up for losing first in one raid.

You also want to find a guild that you can't take first in the raid in anyway. That gives you room to grow and they will be getting further in tb and tw. And also completing a more raids per week. If you can score decently well in a guild like this, you can get far more total rewards than by being number 1 in a guild that you pull through the raids.
  • Btw I made the same mistake in my first guild. We were doing t6 of haat and most of the guild gave up about halfway through. I managed like 4% a day or something and took like a month to finish it.

That was around the time tb just started. I was also one of a few that did anything there. Got like 3 star rewards.

I then moved guilds and went to like 25 stars in tb and working towards haat. In another moth we had haat on farm, though I didn't have much that could do much to contribute at the time. But the rewards for 25th once a week were better than 1st once a month or two.

I finally outgrew that guild and moved to the one I'm in now. We do nearly 40 stars in tb and clear t5 of the str in less than 2 days. I only get top 10 or so but still better than pulling all the weight. We'll be doing heroic soon. We have made a few attempts. Last time we made it through p2. We are trying again soon and will definitely make it further this time.

I can also solo the last half of haat with one team now so trust me when I say that what seems impossible isn't. You'll get there. Completely ftp to btw.
