How is the guild leader board calculated? How does it gauge your team?

Its not damage. It's the total health of the raid encounter divided by the total amount of heroes used. So a guy who solos the raid and none of his other guildmates participates, gets #1. The guild that uses 200 toons total to clear, gets #2 and the guild that uses 5000 toons to clear, gets #3. etc.
