If you meet the entry requirements, there should be no reason why you get rejected - read them carefully as when they say min of 4 million GP - don't apply when you have 2.5 million. Guilds need actives who can contribute not just gather resources. It may be that the guild has lots of offers and is working through the ones who they want (or meet the minimum reqs).
