Has the missing buttons bug returned, or did it never leave?

And yes, I already posted this to answers. Just curious if anyone else is seeing this recently and to warn others this might pop up and ruin GAC for you.

I think it has something to do with the Troopers. There is a bug when you use Troopers against Geos that can occur, which has something to do with a mass assist I believe. Maybe this is something similar here?
