HATE the new balance update

In principle I get the reasons for the changes but the game has become beyond tedious now with length of battles. It's gone to extreme. Not much can be left to auto now and the last round of dailies have been an absolute chore. The new daily for hair dryers is virtually impossible. I spend ages slogging away to get to Savage only to get my healers taken out by support droids almost immediately. I get it should be harder but come on.

It feels like going to work now. Nothing is pleasant and I don't have an extra hour of time each day to devote to the extra game time. I've spent 300.00 on this game and I've learnt a valuable lesson. DO NOT spend money on mobile games. I get the sense they've added the Omega challenge, which is set so easy to complete, to offset the grinding tedium of everything else.

Going to take a break from it for a few days and see maybe what the guilds thing is. Making the game a huge boring grind, even more so than before, isn't how to keep players though. New things to do is better. Where are SHIPS? If this was in development for over a year prior to launch and you've had five months since then, what are you doing? Stop adding no name characters and do something meaningful.

Since December I've had some great fun on this, and looked past the gear grind bar an occasional day or two of sheer frustration, but have been desperate for new things to do in it for a while. This latest update isn't it. This is the limit of mobile gaming. This was my first real experience of it because of the Star Wars skin. I bet it was for a lot of other people too.

So, yes a bit of a moan, but also feedback that it's just too slow now to be fun to play unless it's all you have to do all day. I work 50 plus hours a week. This has been my escapism since launch to help unwind after a cruddy day. That time has passed I think.

Wow. I was totally expecting to get slagged by "pro" players for posting this thread. I'm actually glad to see I'm not alone in despising this update. But I'm sad to see others are also feeling like the time and money they've put into this game is now flushed down the toilet. Adding challenges and features would've been just fine. But changing the power balance and adding the nothingness of "protection" is just stupid. Really. C'mon, EA...read these forums like the Gazillion game developers do with Marvel Heroes and realize that you've really lost a lot of fans with this update.

I really didn't think EA would make their fans more upset than they did with the Shard Shop... I was so, so wrong. I haven't seen a single person on this site try to defend this update and my friends and I hate it too. The closest thing to defending this update is the people that say that their first impression was bad and that they hope it'll get better as they get used to it. As far as I know, not a single one of those people have come back and said they enjoyed the update and I have seen some that have come back and said they still don't like it.

I have to agree with you I HATE the new update too, been playing nice October last year, and now I just get annoyed when I see the app icon of this game. I spent quiet a bit of money on this game to get certain characters such as FOTP and now he's complete garbage. I would like to see EA's reaction when they purchase a car and after a software update this car has half the horsepower. I am sure they would demand their money back. That's what I will be doing too if they don't reverse that whole garbage patch.

EA....why? This protection system makes healers useless and the Galactic war impossible to finish... you took something was working and turned it in to something I would not want to spend money on anymore....

3 of my 7* LEVEL 72 fully geared characters FOTP, FOOfficer, and Phasma were completley nerfed.
I demand a full refund on every $ I ever spent on this game, or I will resort to visa chargebacks or any other path I have to take against you robbing me of my time and money.

Had to register just so I could post pretty much what everyone has already said. I too have spent hundreds only to now not be able to complete challenges.
If its not addreased, I'll definitely be looking for a refund or deleting this from my tablet.
Way to treat loyal customers. I'll certainly be taking this to twitter as well.
