@EA_Jesse - Thanks for the update.
A developer said at one point that the special character would be easier to get than the regular ones. Is this in fact the case? Otherwise it's 800 shards to 4* this new guy and 3,300 shards to 7* ... ouch.
Well, at least the whales will have something to play with. :)
