Even if the rates were even, rng is still rng. Wouldn’t waste money on the pack if i dont have at least 4 toons >100 shards away

for Jedi Knight Revan, I still needed shards on all 5 toons, so I started buying the packs early - that way every pack was going to be worthwhile. Once I got 1-2 of them to 7*, I only bought a couple more packs, being very aware that sometimes those crystals would be wasted.

Honestly, don't buy the packs. They're the most $$$way to do it.

I went from the start of carth/juhani being farmable to 7* off only 3x daily node refreshes and buying from shipments in about a week and a half. Best bet is to be patient and grab every shipment you can until the event, you should still have time

And if you start running close to the clock, refresh your shipments for 50c each day. Worst case is your expenditure for each shard averages to ~100 or so. The 'gambling' packs average to 135 and odds for pulling anyone that will lower it are laughable

My general rule for buying stuff is "if you don't know exactly what you're going to get, you're probably going to get junk you don't want."
