The multi- sim certainly seems to have effected drop rates. I've had a different experience, mod & shard drop rates have been excellent, but I very rarely get a single purple gear piece drop from light or dark battles. It has become a real problem and is concerning. Grinding 50 stun cuffs at a top rate of 1 per day using all free & both 50 crystal refreshes daily isn't sustainable. It's been like it since the mod update for me.
its been the same for me, purple gear drop rates are at an all time low. Thankfully my guild is generous with gear donations for everyone, so everyone in the guild can at least get 5 purples a day through donations
