How are the non top 10% retaining motivation.

Find a better guild. My guildies keep this game dun and interesting. Join a team that can complete HAAT, even if your contribution is minimal. GK is a goal that will keep you going for a few more months. Him and his 9 Carbantis.

Responses: 'Have you tried... I don't know... building teams that can do that stuff?'

I don't spend any money, so if a game is free and I'm making some progress somewhere I'm fine with it. All the other games I've played you hit a big brick wall that can only be overcome by building a ladder of money. Not this one.

That said, I can finish GW and while my guild can't do HAAT yet we're having fun and are friends in real life. I tend to finish in the 101-200 range of arena (Saturdays I'll often be over the 200 point at payout because I save my battles for once the guild challenge changes) so I get enough resources to do the things I want.

Long story short--Patience.

set goals -> achieve goals
doesn't really matter what the goals are.

Think I was looking for replies from those who are not in the top 10 and those not winning haat... surely most people are not top 10. and looking for what keeps them motivated.

but I appreciate for many their motivation is to remain top 10.

This should be your new goal. Top 10 and completing GW daily. It's not easy, but it's worth striving for :)

That's exactly what people told you. If you think motivation will come once you're top 10%, then your goal is to be on that 10%, that will keep you motivated

The trick is, what is motivating top ten. Once you've done enough HAATs to have a 7* Kenobi it's hard to want to stay at it.

You have tons of stuff to look forward to. Top players have done it all, and have been getting twitchy waiting for something new. Thank the maker for Territory battles.

hmm maybe game has run it's course for me then.
