A few months back I went all in on Bounty Hunters.
Then zMaul and Rex Triple cleanse meta hit and I was having a harder and harder time and aside from Boba, none of my other toons could be used in other squad comps.
My guild tried a HAAT raid, didn't even make it past phase 2 and a bunch of our strongest players left the guild.
That was a low point for me. Arena was a struggle (GW was never a problem but a maxed BH squad does quite well there) and my guild was falling apart and I was seeing more and more GK's popping up without even a timeline for unlocking him.
I shared my woes in my arena shard chat and got invited to an excellent guild that had HAAT on farm.
That was a turning point.
I started earning Zeta's, built up Rex and Savage and Nihilus. Fleet was still a struggle because I had stopped farming ships after 3* the ships challenge.
Once I got a few Zeta's I started focusing on getting my core ships and fleet commander (Tarkin) maxed. I went from barely staying in top 100 to finishing in top 20 within a couple of months.
Since then, I have been all in on building an Empire squad. The Empire faction pass came and now I'm a happy camper :)
Long story short, find a good guild and start working on an effective arena team.
Also, don't ever stop farming mods.
