How did anyone think this era system was a good idea?

The title says it all, this is the worst update in a LONG time - and it was supposed to be a celebration... I'll be F2P until this is solved. There is literally nothing good about locking the even...

It's even worse than that. Today's episode quest is to completely 3 era challenge feats. I can barely get two because I haven't whaled. There goes 5000 currency for the feat plus 11,000 for completely the era quests. They can not help but stick their face in the fan every. single. time.
