- I think one needs to be level 83 or 84. It takes omegas and purple ability mats to use. And the ability needs to be at 7 in order to go to 8. I have attached a screenshot of Qui Gon Jinn and his Leader Ability which can be zetaed if I had enough zetas and Omegas I could upgrade this ability. The text in yellow on the left is what would be added to the ability and the text in the center is how the ability would read if it was upgraded.
I found out the hard way that I couldn’t get a Zeta on Darth Vader once I had aced his abilities. Yes, you have to collect 20 or 30 purples, ignoring the constant prompts to use them while you gather 20 zetas in the Galactic War store and ShipAbility Materials challenges for the most part. The omegas tend to accumulate if you are trying to gear more than a handful of characters, as the purples are needed for all beyond ability level 4 or 5.
